On September, 20th Farrow & Ball launched 9 new colours and archived 9 colours. The retired colours are Clunch, Book Room Red, Archive, Drawing Room Blue, Black Blue, Ringwold Ground, Smoked Trout, Tunsgate Green and Yellowcake. You can still order them from the archive collection in the following finishes: Modern Emulsion, Estate Emulsion, Estate Eggshell, Full Gloss and Exterior Eggshell. They no longer appear on the colour card and we wont be carrying sample pots of them.
We are very excited about the new colours. There are two neutrals in the collection of new colours. School House White No. 291 being the lightest. It is described as – Pared back, timeless and familiar without the cool undertones of the more contemporary neutrals.
Jitney No. 293 is the other neutral in the 9 new colours. It is described as – An earthy colour sits somewhere between the more traditional Oxford Stone and greyer Elephant’s Breath. Though muted, it is incredibly uplifting and reminds us of lazy days by the sea.
One of my personal favourites is De Nimes No. 299 it is -Like denim, its blue hue is ultimately fashionable and yet always feels grounded.
Sulking room pink is a colour that is definitely on trend, and not to be seen as overtly pink, but rather a muted rose with enormous warmth, its powdery feel makes it incredibly soft and easy to use with complementary tones.
